June Favorites | Beauty, Skin Care, Life + Style

Hello everybody, and happy July! To kick this month off I want to share with you some of my favorites that I used all of last month. I love trying new products and sharing the ones that work best for me. Make sure to share some of your current favorites with me, I am always into trying new products. Hope you all have a happy Friday and great weekend! – Jay

NYX Angel Veil Primer

Let me start by saying this is my FAVORITE beauty product of the month! I decided to buy it after hearing Kathleen Lights mention it a couple of time in previous videos. I bought this at Ulta (link is above) and have worn it with concealer only, and oh my gosh guys! This is like the flower crown filter on Snapchat, but in real life! It smooths and evens your skin making it the perfect blank canvas to start on, or simply wear on its own!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

This bronzer has quickly become my go to bronzer. If I want a simple and easy all over bronze I use this, if I want a dramatic chizzled contour I use this. I think it is a summer must have especially for those of you who have light to medium skin tones because it gives such a natural look. I bought the one you see above, which is the mini sized one, to try, but I will definitely buy the full sized one once I hit pan.

E.L.F Blush – Mellow Mauve

Love this blush! I have been using it every single time I wear make up. It’s a the perfect natural pink mauve! Love love love, and it was only $3.

Becca Shimmering Perfecting Highlighter – Opal Glow on The Go

I  am little late on trying Becca products, I know. I picked up this mini liquid highlighter as a travel-sized set which came with the pressed powder form as well, and let me tell you, it was love at first swatch! I love the glow it gives me. When I am doing a subtle everyday look I only use the liquid skin perfecting highlighter, but on weekends when I go for a more glammed up look I set this with the pressed power highlighter and it is like BAM! Gorgeous, this is a must try!

Sally Hansen Creme Hair Bleach

Since lightening my hair more and more I started to noticed something had to be done to my eyebrows because they were like seventeen shades darker than my hair (dramatic I know, but true). I had previously had my eyebrows lightened at the salon but I knew I did not want to keep going back just for my eyebrows so I found this alternative product. I was looking for something quick, that I could do myself. This kit is so easy! It takes me about 8 minutes, I wash it off, and voila! Its also inexpensive and found at most drugstores, so that is always a plus! I will be posting a tutorial on how I lighten my eyebrows just so I can share how simple the kit is and how it works, so stay tuned!

Jordana Easy Lip Liner Rock’n’Rose

Last month I shared the same brand lip liner but in the color Tawny. I still use that liner but this month my favorite has been Rock n’ Rose! You guys, this color is so beautiful, it is like a dark mauve color for an everyday look.

Rimmel Lip Liner – Eastend Snob 068

This lip liner is chunkier than the average lip liner, which makes it easier to fill in the entire lip. This color is also stunning it is a beautiful cool-toned-down hot pink mauve, so pretty and glides on like a dream and lasts a good while! I had never tried Rimmel lip liners before but I must say, they work great.

Madison West Pocket Tote

I know that blacks and dark colors are usually saved for fall and winter but I honestly love dark clothing and accessories all year around! I think an all black, or black and white outfit can suit any occasion. And to pair with those outfits I was on the hunt for the perfect black bag. I LOVE oversized bags; they fit everything and more. I found this beauty at DSW it was under $40 bucks! This bag is HUGE, it fits ALL my essentials for my day to day routine. I like that it is clean, sleek, and simple looking, not to much hardware and no lables. I am thinking about making a “What’s in my purse” post, let me know what you think? Leave a comment below.

BCBGeneration Romata Flat Sandal

I know that we all have seen the latest trends of lace up heels and sandals, and while I  LOVE that trend, sometimes a girl needs a pair of easy slip on sandals! I also found these sandals at DSW they were so cute that I almost bought them in all 3 colors but decided to only leave with the black since I was only in need of black sandals – and they go with my new purse! They are so comfy and under $30!

Skin Care

Andalou Naturals Clementine + C Illuminating Toner

I have really been into skincare lately and trying to incorporate some more natural products into my skincare regimen. Since buying this toner I have been using it almost twice a day every sing day after washing my face. It is a mist which is cooling and has a really clean and “citrusy” (is that a word?) scent which is perfect in the mornings to really wake you up. Since I use it after my cleansers and before my creams, I have noticed that my skin absorbs the creams much better when using this as part of my skincare routine. I definitely want to try more products from the Andalou Naturals line. If any of you have recommendations, make sure to leave them down below!

Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser

I have never tried any of the products from the Purity Made Simple line and heard a ton of people raving about this face wash. I was on the hunt for a cleanser which I could use to remove my make up, and at the same time,  was also gentle enough to use before going in with my deep cleanser. I love how gentle this cleanser is, I can use it to remove all my my make up and don’t have to worry about over drying my skin.  It doesn’t leave a film and doesn’t make my skin feel stripped away, it simply leaves my skin feeling clean and ready for the routine to follow it. Definitely one of my favorites!

The Daily Book of Positive Quotations by Linda Picone

I love quotes! I have for many years. I heard about this book from a YouTuber I watch and decided to pick it up. I try to read a quote a day, or whenever I feel like I just need to get some motivation. If you’re into quotes, or looking for motivation, or even an everyday pick-me-up, I recommend checking this book out! Make sure to leave me any of your favorite quotes down below, I’d love to hear them!
