Happy Sunday you guys! Back to school is tomorrow, and while all mommies out there are counting down the hours to shove their kids into bright yellow buses, us college students are desperately wondering why we decided to go back in the first place! Am I right?! I know I am! And to relieve the painful reality of starting yet another semester I decided to (as always) do what I do best, shop. So today I want to share my Back To School Clothing Haul: College Edition. I always seem to need (and I use this term loosely) new clothes, especially for school – or any other non-significant occasion – so I went to a couple of my favorite stores: Nordstrom, Forever 21, Target & Macy’s and took advantage of some good sales this past month and wanted to share it all with you guys. This post is something different so if you would like to see more hauls in the future make sure to let me know down below! – Jay
During full-time semesters I am usually flying out the door rushing to class or running other errands, therefore I try to keep my clothing comfortable, casual, and with the option of dressing it up. I think basics are essential for any wardrobe, they make dressing up so much easier because there is so much you can do with them. The tanks and V-necks can be paired with accent necklaces to add a touch of color, or they can be paired with a coat or open front button up. The KALE t-shirt was a must have! It’s so cute and goes perfectly with the utility jackets thrown on top. Lastly, the denim and flannel tops are perfect go-to’s that can be dressed down with leggings and sneakers or dressed up with jeans and peep-toe booties.
I know! These two jackets are the same color! But they are SO different. I had to get both. The one on the right is more casual and sporty while the draped one, on the right, reminded me of a trench coat and I pictured it perfect for a cool rainy day – PLUS it was on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, need I say more?!
Forever 21 Leggings: Like I said, I like comfortable clothes and what is more comfortable than leggings? I personally don’t like spandex-like leggings, I like cotton ones for everyday wear. I found these at Forever 21 and they literally were $4 bucks! I mean come on, when you’re in college you’ll take any good deal you can find!
Target Cargo/Chino Pants: It’s no surprise that I am a sucker for all things olive toned. I fell in love with these olive cargo’s from Target, they are SO comfortable, SO soft, and can be paired with so many colors! Perfect for a laid back dress day too!
I am a shoe addict! And the majority of my shoes are either wedges or heels so I figured I would invest in some flats this time around. I pictured the white converse for a casual day with some jeans a baseball tee and a cap. The footbed sandal-style has really been growing on me the past month, and when I saw these in gold at Macy’s I knew I had to have them! You guys…..these sandals are SO comfortable! I can’t find them online because they were on sale in store only I believe but I will link similar ones below. Last but not least are the brown slide sandals that look so cute with basically anything, and are perfect to show off your perfect summer pedi’s!
