September Favorites | Beauty, Skin Care, Life + Style

Hello Beautiful People! Happy Sunday! Earlier this week I promised I would post my September Favorites and here they are! I hope that you guys find them useful. Make sure to leave your favorites of the month down below so I can try them! – Jay

NYX Micro Brow Pencil: If you are looking for a new brow pencil I really suggest you try this. I can honestly say I have the most uneven brows I’ve ever seen and shaping them is always a pain! I was looking for something to fill in sparse areas that was easy to apply and would give it a “natural” look, and after a couple of different products I landed on this baby. I use it every day, it’s so thin that it let’s me precisely draw and fill my brow. It also has a spoolie on the other end to blend and comb all together giving it the perfect everyday natural look.

Maybelline Brow Drama: This is something I don’t use everyday, I use it for a fuller and more defined brow, or on a night out when I want to give my brows that extra umph. It gives my brows dimension, it’s like mascara for your brows. How I personally use it is after I have filled in my brows with the NYX Micro Brow Pencil I go it and lightly brush up and over to make sure they stay in place and look fuller.

NYX The Skinny Mascara: I have been using this mascara for well over a month now and it’s honestly the best mascara I have used for my lower lashes! It’s so thin that I can run it through and under as well, it gives my lower lashes great definition without clumping.

Skin Care

Lancôme Creme Raidiance: I recently started using Lancôme products because a friend recommended them right when I ran out of my NeoStrat Foaming Glycolic Acid wash (which I still LOVE) so I figured I’d give it a try. I told her I wanted a creamy and really foaming cleanser because I personally think those work the best, and she suggested I try this specific cleanser. I have been using this for over a month and a half now and just after a week I could tell a difference in the areas which I had texture issues in. I love how creamy and rich this cleanser is and it foams up like crazy which, like I said, I love, also it doesn’t leave my face looking dull or feeling stripped away, but it leaves it looking healthy and radiant. Plus, a little bit goes a long way! Definitely worth the try.

Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover: Before I start talking about this make up remover I must admit that I have never used a liquid pour-on-a-cotton-pad makeup remover before. I have always used wipes or, on occasion, natural coconut oil; therefore I have no proper comparison to this product. Now with that being said, I have never ever seen my eye makeup melt away as easily as I have when using this makeup remover. When you look at the bottle you can clearly tell it is part water and part oil (not sure what type of oil) however it leaves no oily residue whatsoever, its awesome. [NOTE: To all my contact wearers, I advise you to remove your contacts before using this, because I made the mistake once of using it while my contacts were still on and when I opened my eyes everything was extremely blurry….to the point that I had to toss that pair out…..oops!]

Aveda Hydrating Treatment Lotion: If you guys read my Adveda post then you know I brought this home with me that day. I did begin to use it then, but not as often as I have this last month. I have been using it after cleansing as a toner and it is really refreshing and moisturizing, it quenches my skin and is cooling too. Next week I will be reviewing all the products from that post and will announce an exciting giveaway in which I have partnered with Aveda Aventura! Make sure to follow inorder to receive a notification of that post.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray: Last month Frank (my husband) and I took a vacation to Turks and Caicos. Before taking the trip I knew I wanted some type of cooling facial spray or mist to take on the trip. I found this travel sized spray at Ulta and do not regret picking it up.It came in handy during the trip while we were laying by the pool and I felt hot or a little burnt I would spray this on my face, neck, and shoulders and it cooled my skin down almost instantly. It has aloe and rosewater which makes it really cooling and gives it a very light and subtle scent, nothing too overpowering. I ended up loving it so much that I have now added it to my nightly skin care routine.

Lancome Renergie Lift Multi Action Creams: You guys these creams are awesome! I got these sample sizes as a gift with my Lancôme purchase and I wish they wouldn’t have because they are so good I’m just going to have to get more when I run out. They are on the pricier side but they are amazing, I’m hooked! I use these in the morning, and at night sometimes too, they have this beautiful sheen to them which gives your skin a beautiful glow-from-within-look that I love, AND the face cream has SPF 15 which is just a little bonus!

Life & Style

SpaRoom Scentifier Fragrance Diffuser: Whenever I try something new like a trend or something, I like testing out an affordable option first. Why? Because I am trying it out first, and if I don’t end up liking it then I don’t feel as guilty as I would if I spent a ton of money in the first place. With that being said, I wanted to try a diffuser and some essential oils because I heard of it’s great benefits. I was at Bed Bath & Beyond and found this tiny diffuser and ended up getting it because it was affordable, cute, compact, and I had a 20% off coupon! I have used this SO much the past month I had to run out and buy some more essential oils. I love it! The Eucalyptus oil is my favorite. I mix it with the Lemon Zest in the mornings to get a nice fresh and soothing start to my day. I can tell that it helps me fall asleep faster too. I can’t wait to try some more essential oils, I will definitely share.

Essential Oils: If you have not tried essential oils yet I highly recommend them! I came down with a slight head cold last week and the Eucalyptus essential oil really helped me sleep at night, it was so soothing!  And in the mornings I like to mix the Lemon Citrus and a bit of Eucalyptus to really wake me up. If you guys have any recommendations for essential oils that work for you then make sure to leave them down below in the comments so I can check them out!

American Eagle Distressed Denim Jeggings: On Monday I posted a Sunday Style | Baby Blues outfit which featured these jeans. You guys, these jeggings are SO comfortable and perfect! They are definitely very distressed which in some cases can make jeans a bit loose after a couple hours of wear, but these are snug in all the right places. They have quickly become my favorite!
