Hello WORLD and happy Friday! I’MMM BACK! It feels like I’ve been living under a rock these past few months not going to lie, I’ve missed sitting down and sharing with you all. Live I’ve stated before, blogging is my form of sharing my style and creative sense in a way, which is why I am so happy to be doing it again! Now not a whole ton has happened these past few months, I have honestly just been focusing on school and getting things squared away in that area of my life, and when I sat down to think about where things went wrong with doing this and sharing with you all, I realized that school wasn’t the only thing that came between me and blogging, which is why I am sharing the reason to my hiatus with you today.
Ever since I decided to start my blog I new what I wanted to share; clothes, style inspo, skin care and current favorites. And there is nothing I love more than new clothes, trying new products, testing new skin care and so on, but the one thing I quickly came to realize was, IT’S EXPENSIVE. For those of you who don’t know, I am currently a college student who is fortunate enough to have a wonderful husband (an angel of a husband!) and family, that encouraged me to fully focus and dedicate myself to school while I still could, which means that I don’t work [p.s.: major props to those of you who work and go to school, and juggle everything else at the same time, I admire you!]. Therefore when I started bogging I quickly noticed it’s an expensive hobby, specially if you want to keep up with the latest trends, or the latest product releases. Now I know there are a million bloggers out there that never wear the same thing twice, or are sharing new shoes and products on a daily basis, but the majority of people that I know, realistically, don’t shop links on a daily basis, or head to the drug store every time their favorite beauty guru shares a new favorite of the month. I mean how often do you finish a tube of mascara?? The majority of people I know re-wear tops more that three times, they also shop their own closet every morning and mix and match with what they have, they rather shop for affordable pieces from Marshall’s or Tjmaxx than go broke trying to keep up with the latest trends. For a moment when I stopped sharing I felt like I was missing out because I wasn’t keeping up with what I saw every other blogger doing, buying, or sharing. But after taking this break and just living my daily life, I realized that sometimes all this is fruitless. Yes I love shopping, of course I love wearing new clothes and trying new things out and all that good stuff, but what do I learn from the person sharing it all? Now I am by no means saying that their opinions don’t teach anything or hold value, or that I won’t buy new clothes, make-up, or shoes, because the good lord knows that I won’t promise that, BUT I would like to share more than that. Maybe life lessons that I’ve experienced, or marriage advice, or even school advice, something that forms a bigger and better connection between myself and you guys because I enjoy that. I have some ideas up my sleeve coming up this month but if you have any requests on what you’d like me to share please leave it in a comment below.
Alright, now onto the exciting news! This upcoming month Frank and I get to turn the page into a new chapter of our lives! We obviously have lived together however we have never had our OWN place!
